Invasion Day is not a date to celebrate.
Today, like any other day, is a day to pay respects and to also show kindness. For many, 26 January is a day of mourning, made more painful as others celebrate. We stand with our First Nations community and we look to their elders, past and present, for their guidance as the day is commemorated.
On 26 January, Outloud staff are given the option to come into work if they choose. Your employer may also give you this option.
